Welcome to Nooko! These terms govern your use of the app. By using Nooko, you agree to these terms.

This app provides general wellness information and is not a substitute for professional medical advice. Nooko is NOT medical advice. It provides information and tracking tools, but it cannot replace your doctor, midwife, or healthcare provider.

- Don't rely on this app for diagnosing problems or emergencies
- If something feels wrong, contact your healthcare provider immediately
- The information in the app is general guidance, not personalized medical advice

What Nooko Does
Nooko helps you:
- Track your pregnancy week by week
- Record journal entries, photos, and memories
- Monitor bump photos, weight, kick counts, and contractions
- Share your pregnancy journey with a partner or family member
- View baby development information
The app provides informational content about pregnancy. This content is for educational purposes only.
Your Account
Anonymous Authentication
- Your account is tied to your device, not an email or password
- If you uninstall the app without exporting data, you'll lose access to it
- We recommend regularly exporting your data as a backup
Your Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate information to the best of your ability
- Keep your device secure (anyone with access to your device can access your pregnancy data)
- Use the app appropriately and lawfully
- Not attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or abuse the app
- Not upload harmful, illegal, or inappropriate content
Family Sharing
When you invite someone to your family group:
- You're responsible for who you invite
- Invited members have full access to your pregnancy data
- You can remove family members at any time
- Family members should also follow these terms
Intellectual Property
What We Own
- The Nooko app, design, and code are owned by Alex Iron Co
- Educational content about pregnancy is copyrighted
- The Nooko name and logo are our trademarks
What You Own
- Your journal entries, photos, and personal data belong to you
- You grant us permission to store and display your content within the app
- You can export or delete your content anytime
Subscriptions & Billing
Nooko offers optional paid subscriptions to unlock premium features. All payments are processed through Apple's App Store (iTunes).
Subscription Plans
- Monthly and Trimester plans are auto-renewable subscriptions. They renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Pregnancy Pass is a non-renewing subscription. It expires at the end of the purchased period and will not be charged again.
Managing & Cancelling
You can manage or cancel your subscriptions at any time through your device: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, or visit Apple's subscription management page.
Refunds
Since all payments are processed by Apple, we cannot issue refunds directly. If you'd like to request a refund, please contact Apple Support.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- Nooko is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
- We are not liable for any harm, loss, or damages resulting from your use of the app
- This includes (but is not limited to) medical issues, data loss, or pregnancy complications
- We make no guarantees about the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of pregnancy information
- We are not responsible for decisions you make based on information in the app
You use this app at your own risk. Pregnancy care requires professional medical supervision, not just an app.
If we are found liable for anything, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the past 12 months.
Service Availability
We try to keep Nooko running smoothly, but the app may be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or technical issues. Features may change or be removed. We may discontinue the app with reasonable notice.
Termination
You can stop using the app anytime and request deletion of your data by contacting legal@nookoapp.com. We can terminate accounts that violate these terms or discontinue the service with reasonable notice.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal and the European Union. Any disputes will be resolved in Portuguese courts. However, we'd prefer to resolve issues amicably — reach out to us before taking legal action.
Third-Party Services
We use Supabase for data storage and Sentry for error tracking. These services have their own terms and privacy policies.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We'll update the "Last Updated" date, and for major changes, we'll notify you in the app. Continued use means you accept the new terms.
